FIND OUT MORE: The game show taking over Millionaire Hot Seat has been unveiled.
Channel Nine has responded following viewers’ complaints on social media alleging that the network’s game show “Tipping Point” might be rigged when they observed a counter inexplicably moving around the board.
The video clip was sourced from a latest show where a counter fell from the rack onto the board, aligning perfectly to displace numerous discs off the shelf — thereby positioning the participant for a substantial reward.
Nevertheless, the disk subsequently seemed to shift several inches to the right on its own, positioning itself away from the edge so that it could not knock over any other disks, thus raising the likelihood of the contestant losing.
The contestant in question, Graham, didn’t win any cash during the show and became the second participant to be eliminated that evening.
“The Tipping Point isn’t fixed,” they claim. Watch this… With magnets, what the heck,” the spectator remarked sarcastically over the video.
Yet, in response to Daily Mail Australia, a representative from Channel Nine dismissed any claims of the show being fixed.

“The network dismissed the allegation that the game was fixed and that magnets were employed to alter the counter,” as reported by Daily Mail Australia.
‘Absolutely, there are no magnets involved at all.’
Viewers had mixed reactions to the clip and flocked to the comments section to voice their opinions.
Nevertheless, some argued that the video failed to conclusively demonstrate that the program was fixed, suggesting instead that there could be a straightforward explanation.
“The pushing force applied to the disc,” someone proposed.
‘In reality, they are wooden disks, not metallic as they seem to be,’ another commented.
They mentioned that there was a rational explanation for the meter seemingly moving on its own in the footage.
They mentioned that the machine’s counters, walls, and shelves are all made of acrylic.

The motion seen in the video is due to natural suction that happens between two flat, pristine Perspex surfaces when they are closely pressed together. This suction effect can generate friction, which impacts the ease with which the surface moves across the counter.
In Tipping Point, three contestants compete against a machine for various rewards and a grand prize at stake.
In August 2023, Network Nine revealed Australian tennis player Todd Woodbridge.

Since its debut, the show has garnered positive reactions from audiences; however, a prominent individual isn’t fond of the series—a notoriously sharp-tongued critic.
Margaret Pomeranz.
In June, Pomeranz launched a scathing attack on the show.
The seasoned host, who is 80 years old, made an appearance on the ABC comedy program “The Weekly with Charlie Pickering” and criticized the show harshly.
“One program ventures to raise the bar for the genre, courting risk and reward within the grandeur of an oversized arcade game,” she remarked sarcastically.
Pomeranz heavily criticized the show, asserting that it represented entertainment for the broadest possible audience.
