International Showdown: 2025’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Crown Settles on New Winner!

Caution: This narrative includes details about the winner of Celebrity Big Brother.

Jack P. Shepherd from “Coronation Street” has been declared the champion of this year’s Celebrity Big Brother.

Shepherd, who has portrayed David Platt for 25 years on the soap opera, emerged victorious over other finalists such as drag artist Danny Beard, US personality JoJo Siwa, and TV star Chris Hughes.

Also appearing in the finale of the ITV reality show on Friday were comedian Donna Preston and pop star Chesney Hawkes.

The current season garnered attention after Hollywood star Mickey Rourke was announced as one of the housemates at its start three weeks back—only to be removed later due to “inappropriate language” and “unacceptable behavior.”

The actor, who was nominated for an Oscar, received a warning following Siwa’s accusation of being “homophobic.” He was later expelled after a dispute with ex-Love Island contestant Hughes.

Hughes and ex-Dance Moms cast member JoJo Siwa, who is 21 years old, developed a strong bond during their time on the program. Additionally, she garnered attention when she mentioned that living in the house led her to choose identifying as queer rather than lesbian.

“She announced that she’s changing letters!” she joked to Beard, saying she was transitioning from L to Q within the LGBTQ community.

I have often said to myself that I am a lesbian, but being here has made me realize, ‘Actually, I’m not just a lesbian; I’m queer.’ And I find that very exciting.

Throughout the series, the celebrities who were eliminated included television presenter Trisha Goddard, sportsman Daley Thompson, and EastEnders star Patsy Palmer.

The lineup also included MP Michael Fabricant, presenter Angellica Bell, and Ella Rae Wise from “The Only Way Is Essex.”

However, it was Shepherd who became the audience’s favorite.

Since 2000, at age 12, this 37-year-old actor has consistently played Gail’s son David on the series. Speculation regarding his character’s continuation in the show has circulated; however, he expressed his desire to remain part of the cast for an additional quarter-century.

This marked the second celebrity installment of Big Brother on ITV since the network relaunched the program in 2023. The premiere episode, which aired earlier this month, drew an audience of roughly 2.7 million viewers.
