Beloved ‘Abir Gulaal’ Tracks Removed from YouTube: An International Edition

On April 26, Pakistan faced another hurdle regarding the upcoming Bollywood movie “Abhir Gulal,” starring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor, as it encountered opposition in light of the recent Pahalgam terrorist incident. Calls to boycott the film due to Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood have intensified after this event.

With growing demands to halt the upcoming release of ‘Abir Gulaal,’ the producers appear to have decided against proceeding with Fawad Khan’s return romantic comedy.

As per the information provided, two tracks from the movie—a sentimental song titled ‘Khudaya Ishq’ and an energetic dance track named ‘Angreji Rangrasiya,’ which were made public earlier this month and could be viewed on YouTube—have disappeared. These songs are no longer accessible on both the A Richer Lens Entertainment channel and the Saregama music label’s page.

Furthermore, another track from the movie ‘Tain Tain,’ scheduled for release on Wednesday, has also not been removed.

So far, the creators have not issued any official statements regarding these developments. It’s worth noting that this move followed a fatal terrorist assault in Pahalgam, Kashmir, where at least 26 individuals were killed after militants fired upon visitors on Tuesday evening.

In a social media statement, Khan expressed his condemnation of the attack, stating, “I am deeply distressed upon hearing about the atrocious assault in Pahalgam. My condolences go out to those affected by this ghastly event, and I extend my wishes for resilience and recovery to their loved ones during these challenging times.” It’s also noteworthy that Fawad Khan, known for his roles in various Bollywood movies, plans to return after a hiatus of nine years alongside Vaani Kapoor in ‘Abir Gulaal’, directed and penned by Aarti S Bagdi.

The romantic comedy co-produced by Vivek B Agarwal, Avantika Hari, Rakesh Sippy, and Firuzi Khan boasts an ensemble cast featuring Riddhi Dogra, Lisa Haydon, Farida Jalal, Soni Razdan, and Parmeet Sethi. The film ‘Abir Gulaal’ is set to premiere globally, including in Pakistan, on May 9th.
